Back to the Basics - Getting to Know John Wesley

This is a relational group open to everyone. We want to get to know John Wesley, Methodism, and each other. We’ll be reading and responding to the 44 sermons that John Wesley said are a summary of his thoughts on Christian life. We’ll also spend time introducing and trying to understand “the class meeting” and “the band,” which are two essential parts of Wesley’s method of spiritual formation. Join us on this very leisurely voyage of becoming intimately acquainted with John Wesley— but more importantly, acquainted with the most important spiritual topics that help us know Christ and His work more. We meet on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in Rm. 309. A bound copy of Wesley’s sermons are available for purchase. There is no homework for this class; all reading is completed together. Light refreshments will be provided by the Haneys.
